Computer 

Invention of the computer has made many dreams come true even we cannot imagine our lives without computer. Generally computer is a device used for many purposes like information storage, email, messaging, software programming, calculation, data processing and many more. Desktop computer need a CPU, an UPS, a keyboard and a mouse for well functioning however laptop does not need anything to add outside as it is included with all inside. Computer is an electronic device having big memory which can save any data value. We are living in the advanced world of computer in the 21st century.

Earlier the functioning of the old generation computer was very limited but new generation computers are amazing with lots of functioning. Charles Babbage had invented the first mechanical computer which was totally different from the modern day computer. The aim of computer invention was to create a machine which can perform very fast mathematical calculations. During the World War II it was used to locate and estimate the direction and speed of weapons of the enemies. Modern day computers are available with the artificial Intelligence technology to helps us in every sector of life.

New generation computer are being highly advanced means smaller, lighter, speedier and more powerful. Now a day, it is running in almost all walks of life like weather forecasting, guidance of spacecraft, examinations, education, shopping, traffic control, high level programming, automation in banks, railway ticket booking, playing games, medical sector, machinery operations, job opening, business, crime detection etc. It is the backbone of the Information Technology including with the internet and proved that nothing is impossible today. If there are positive effects of the computer on the life of human being, it also negatively affected the human lives such as rise in the Cyber crime, pornographic websites can be accessed by kids or younger and many more however using some preventive measures we can be safe from its negative effects.

The whole human fraternity is becoming highly dependent on the computer technology; no one can imagine life without computer. As, it has spread its wings so deeply in every area and made people used of it. It is very beneficial for the students of any class. They can use it to prepare their projects, learn poems, read different stories, download notes for exam preparations, collect large information within seconds, learn about painting, drawing, etc. It enhances the professional skills of the students and helps in getting job easily.

Importance of Computer 🖥 

Today computers have been important factor to society because of the way they are used towards education, government, internet, and etc. Most of the people want to buy a computer to be able to us internet. With internet you could chat with people all over the world, research information, buy and order supplies, food, computers, movies, clothing, and etc, so having internet in computers is very helpful for many. Computers have been tremendously beneficial to the educational system since the style and way it is taught.

For example computers have a variety of programs that can help students improve their learning and can also help them with grammar issues.

Some computers have a Microsoft Word, which is a program where you can write a letter, essay, memo, cover letter, or short paragraph which can be printed or sent electronically (by email). The Microsoft Word document has tool bar which has many bars to help improve the letter you are writing, a specific tool is the paragraph in the format bar which checks for any mistakes found in the letter, and it can also help find fragment sentences.

The other way computers have helped the education system is being able to have websites for each school that students attend to be well informed about the school and also being able to check their own grades or maybe if a student misses a class he can find the notes or assignments that he missed.

Computers have helped finding criminals in the past or detecting possible terrorist threats against a country.

If a mayor or president received murder threats or possible attacks to a large city or airport they would be able to trace down the computer to which it was sent from to find the person. Finding criminals through computers have happen currently,

since some of the criminals would likely have a social network like Myspace, Facebook, tagged, or others sites, since these websites are public you’re able to find the location where they are at. Since many people are not careful with what they write online they can easily be detected.

Another reason computers have helped society is through the power of music.

Computers have programs such as iTunes that can be downloaded into the computer, other programs are Windows Media Player and Windows DVD Maker.

All these programs have music and movies that can put into iPods and mp3 players, it is an easier way to listen to music. 

In the Windows Media Player you are able burn CD’s and RIP CD’s into the computer and through Windows DVD Maker you make you own DVD of anything or just burn a movie to put into a DVD.

Another important factor why computers have been helpful to people is the use of the programs that can help organizations, government, and public officials.

Some of the programs that are used by any individual is the clock, language, and region link which allows to change the clock time on your laptop, or you can change the language, and you can change the location where the computer is located. Most people use it for charts, graphs, and calendar that can be projected in many different events like to show the population of genders, races, and ages.

The Government used these charts and graphs for many reasons but they are especially used to find projections like they can see how many people are unemployed in the country, how many have lost their houses, or can also be used to compared past projections with today’s statistics to see what they can fix. In Conclusion,

a computer has been and would probably continu to help society in many ways.

Science in everyday life 

In its broadest meaning of 'knowledge', science enters the life of even the most primitive human being, who knows the safe from the poisonous berry, who has stored up some rudimentary ideas about building a hut, sharpening a spear, and fishing in the river. this knowledge, or accumulation of experience, distinguishes man from the animal which has to rely on instinct.

Yet, for most people 'science' means a number of abstract subject such as physics, chemistry, biology and mechanics, to quote a few, which have to be learnt as part of 'education', yet which seem to have little bearing on everyday living. How wrong this is. Our way o life is completely dependent on science and its fruits surround us on all sides.

The Renaissance first taught man to realize the value of scientific progress, but it was not until the 18th century that the Industrial Revolution in the West really showed the impact science could have on living through developments in land-tillage, commercial production, transportation, and the beginning of the supply of mass-produced consumer goods. Until about 1920, progress was steady but in the last 45 years, the process of applying of science to the needs of living has accelerated enormously. This has been proportionate to the rate of scientific discovery itself.

Today, there is available an enormous range of consumer goods from the simple frying-pan to the jet plane, from the alarm-clock to the computer. All these things serve to make life easier and more pleasant, yet in themselves do not constitute civilization -- merely its comfortable adjuncts. Progress in real living is achieved less through 'things' than through education, the arts and the love of beauty. Science has nothing to say to us in these categories, merely providing aids and short-cuts. Without them, life would be no more than the struggle for survival; there would be no time or incentive to pursue higher things.

Science gives us safe food, free from harmful bacteria, in clean containers or hygienic tins. It also teaches us to eat properly, indicating a diet balanced in protein and carbohydrate and containing vitamins. The results is freedom from disease and prolonged life. In pre-scientific days, food was monotonous and sometimes dangerous; today it is safe and varied. It is varied because through improved sea, land and air transport food can now be freely imported and exported. Science has also improved clothing and made it more appropriate for climatic and working conditions. Man-made fibers and versatile spinning machines, today enable us to dress in clothes both comfortable and smart without being expensive.

Home, school and office all bear witness to the progress and application of science. Nowadays, most homes possess electric lighting and cooking, but many also have washing machines, vacuum cleaners and kitchen appliances, all designed to increase comfort and cleanliness and reduce drudgery. Science produces the fan which cools the air, the machinery which makes the furniture and fabrics, and hundred and one other features for good living. The books and papers are at school, and again everything from the piece of chalk to the closed-circuit television of instruction are the direct or indirect results of scientific progress. Learning is therefore easier. And clerical work is made far more speedy and efficient by the office typewriter, quite apart from the hundreds of different machines which relieve the manual worker of so much slow and monotonous toil in the factories.

In the old days, the idea of travel or taking a holiday was the monopoly of the privileged few. Today, science has given us the steamer, the aircraft and the motor-car. New horizons are opened to us and the increase of wealth brought about by science has given us the means to enjoy the new leisure we have been given. But to enjoy life at all, we must be healthy and it is perhaps in the sphere of medicine that some of the greatest advances have been made. Today, because of the use of antibiotic and isotopes, many diseases are speedily cured and man has become, on the whole, a healthier being, set free from pain and illness.

Science has been completely beneficial to ordinary living when properly applied. When misused, it is equally harmful. Land can be poisoned by chemicals, workers can suffer industrial disease, war can mobilize science to man's own destruction. Science is a good servant, but man must remain master.

Man vs. Machine

Introduction 

We are now living in a tech-savvy world filled with objects like smart phones, computers and tablets that have become an integral part of our life. It is now hard to imagine our lives without artificial intelligence. The progress that we have made from mobile phones to smart phones and computers to laptops, cable television’s to satellites, we wonder what is going to be next in this line of progress. It is even predicted that artificial intelligence may exceed human intelligence. However evolution in artificial intelligence is the result of evolution in human intelligence. Can artificial intelligence exist without human existence?

What do I Prefer?

We are highly dependent on artificial intelligence and cannot imagine our lives without it anymore, be it for work, entertainment, studies or sharing opinions. Human collaboration with artificial intelligence has grown immensely. Machines make our lives easy but cannot replace the humans in our lives. Humans are the creators and operators of machines. Human intelligence has an edge over artificial intelligence as it has the ability to create unlike computers and it is not operated by machines.

Human and Emotional Needs 😢

We are addicted to machines. But what about our emotional needs? Can we talk to machine? Can we share our feelings with the machines? Can we fall in love with the machines? Can machines feel emotions? Can we just live with machines? Though these days we spend more time with machines than humans, we turn up to humans at the end of the day. We are greedy creatures, aren’t we? Humans are emotional creatures and have several emotional needs. They can also easily get carried away with emotions. They often get stressed out by various events in their life. Emotions blur the effectiveness of human brain to make precise and logical decisions. Human brain is never as stable as machines. Human brain is highly influenced by emotions.

Humans matter to us the most and that is the important thing to keep in mind. We don’t want to interact with machines instead of humans. Technology exists to replace our shopping experience locally to online shopping, but not everyone prefers online shopping. Some people like to visit shopping malls personally, try different dresses and enjoy that experience. When it comes to dealing with stress, we still need to consult a stress management consultant and not machines. Nothing can replace human communication. Just because technology is at hand doesn’t mean it is going to replace humans or be a better option all the time.

Conclusion 

I personally prefer human interaction compared to interacting with a machine to shop or raise a service complaint. I also enjoy the company of humans rather than staying glued to the television or mobile phone. Humans have emotions and feelings and dealing with them is a much better experience. Humans are not just controlled by brain but also by their heart. Human brain and heart is closely connected, creating an emotional whole. So, though machines have become a part of our lives but for me, I am a heart person so I would definitely prefer humans over machines.

Internet

 

Internet is a global network which connects millions of computers all over the world. It has become very simple and easy in accomplishing all day to day activities which were very time taking and hard to manage in those days. We cannot think our life without this great invention called internet. As everything has its pros and cons means both positive and negative effects, internet also has affected the human lives in both ways. Because of the internet, online communication has become very easy and simple. The mode of communication in those days were through letters which was very time taking and hard as one had to travel a long distance. But now, we just need to connect our internet to open some social networking websites and opening Gmail or other accounts (Yahoo, etc) to send messages within seconds.

It has reduced the usage of paper and paper works to a great extent by making everything computerized in the offices (governmental or non-governmental), schools, colleges, educational institutions, training centres, NGOs, universities, shops, business, industries, railway, metro and many more. Using this internet we can get all the news time to time from all across the world from one place. It is very effective and efficient in gathering huge information whether required for references or activities on any topic within seconds. It has benefited the education, travel and business sectors to a great level. It has made easy access to the online public libraries, textbooks or other resources to find relevant topics.

In the earlier time when people were without internet, they had to waste lots of time for any type of work like standing in the long queues and waiting for their number to get travel ticket. But in the modern time of internet, one can book train online in just few clicks and get travel ticket through printout or get a soft copy in his/her mobile. In the internet world, one does not need to travel a long distance for his/her meeting for business or other purposes. One can attend his/her meeting online from own office through the use of video calling, conferencing, Skype or using other tools. It helps in getting admission online in his/her desired school, college or universities, hiring highly skilled employees and teachers, business transactions, banking transactions, applying for driving license, money transfer, learning cooking recipes, bill payment, purchasing anything on free delivery and so many activities.

This is the age of smart phones and micro blogging. Everything that we need to know is just a click away. Social media is the most widely used tool by all age groups today, but is more popular among the youth and students. Keeping this in mind researchers feel that social media can play a very important part in the field of education. It can be used to reach out to many students and can be highly effective as well. There is a large majority of academic thinkers that feel social media is a deteriorating agent for students but if used wisely it can be highly effective. Instead of getting in the argument of social media being good or bad, we must find ways to use it for our benefit. The question still remains that how can social media be used for our advantage in education, let’s try and answer this.

Importance of Social Media in Education 

Today platforms like Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn etc. are most widely used by( both) teachers, professors and students and they have become quite popular among them. For a student social media plays a very important role as it makes it easier for them to access and share information, get answers and connect with teachers.  आज कंप्यूटर समाज के लिए महत्वपूर्ण कारक रहा है क्योंकि जिस तरह से उनका उपयोग शिक्षा, सरकार, इंटरनेट और आदि के लिए किया जाता है। अधिकांश लोग इंटरनेट के लिए सक्षम होने के लिए कंप्यूटर खरीदना चाहते हैं।  इंटरनेट के साथ आप दुनिया भर के लोगों के साथ चैट कर सकते हैं, जानकारी की खोज कर सकते हैं, आपूर्ति खरीद और ऑर्डर कर सकते हैं, भोजन, कंप्यूटर, फिल्में, कपड़े आदि, इसलिए कंप्यूटर में इंटरनेट का होना बहुतों के लिए बहुत मददगार है।  जिस शैली और तरीके से इसे पढ़ाया जाता है, उसके बाद से कंप्यूटर शिक्षा प्रणाली के लिए काफी फायदेमंद रहे हैं।
